VGI
The VGI is a local transport association formed by the districts of Eichstätt, Neuburg-Schrobenhausen, Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm and the city of Ingolstadt have joined forces. In 2021, the VGI was able to secure funding of the VGI newMIND project a funding amount of 27,8 million euros from the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport and the Federal Office for Logistics and Mobility.
The VGI mission
The share of public transport in total traffic is set to double in the VGI area by 2026 compared to 2016. The aim is to improve cooperation between the network partners in the region and significantly more service for all passengers. The funded VGI newMIND project stands for mobility, innovation, sustainability and digitalization. It includes around 50 individual measures for regional and urban public transport.
Task definition
ADVERMA was able to secure the VGI account in the pitch. The objective was to introduce and publicize the new VGI brand, the conception and creation of the associated communication campaigns and the implementation of the individual marketing and communication measures.

Our approach
Under the motto “We connect the region”, ADVERMA developed an overall developed an overall communication strategy in close consultation with VGI, which launched and established the “VGI” brand. The development of a consistent design concept with a recognizable visual language formed the basis for all marketing and communication measures. These included numerous individual measures in the areas of brand development, product communication and sales – online and offline.
